Fran Fraschilla and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to Speak at Harvard Basketball Coaches Clinic on October 29, 2016

Tommy Amaker, The Thomas G. Stemberg ’71 Family Endowed Coach for Harvard Men’s Basketball, has announced that the 10th annual Harvard Basketball Coaches Clinic will be held Saturday, Oct. 29 at Lavietes Pavilion from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The clinic will begin with opening remarks from Coach Amaker. Those in attendance will then have the opportunity to observe a Harvard basketball practice with insight and analysis from Coach Amaker. Following lunch, the day will conclude with a lecture and Q&A session with a featured guest clinician.

Fran Fraschilla, a collegiate coach for 23 years and an ESPN college basketball game and studio analyst, will serve as the special guest clinician for the 10th-annual Harvard Basketball Coaches Clinic. Fraschilla, a staple analyst for Big 12 and NIT games, ranked as the 34th winningest active coach in men’s college basketball when he joined ESPN. His teams made eight postseason appearances in nine years, including three NCAA Tournaments (1993, 1995 and 1998).
As an added bonus, the Harvard men’s basketball program is proud to announce that Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer, six-time NBA champion and three-time NCAA champion Kareem Abdul-Jabbar will also speak at this year’s clinic!
