The Director of Player Personnel works in coordination with the Director of Basketball Operations and the Head Coach to oversee and manage the internal needs and services of student-athletes. Works as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities*
1. Oversee and assist with the day to day personal matters of the student-athletes
2. Assist the Director of Operations with planning weekly and monthly student-athlete practices, class and study hall schedules
3. Serves as the basketball liaison with facility managers and women?s basketball program for scheduling purposes
4. Assist the Director of Operations with the Compliance Office in all the program needs: CARA Forms, Tickets, Eligibility, etc.
5. Oversee ticket allocation for student-athletes
6. Serve as the admissions contact for incoming Student-Athletes
7. Assist with all on-campus recruiting activities
8. Serve as the academic mentor for the basketball student-athletes
9. Assist in parent relations and communications
10. Direct and support basketball staff with community service activities
11. Assist the Director of Operations with all camp/clinic responsibilities
12. Liaison with development office and media office for personnel requests
13. Assist with all special events including basketball alumni relations
14. Arrange training table meals with the athletic trainer, strength coach, and dietitian
Required Qualifications*
– Must demonstrate an understanding of the NCAA Compliance rules.
– Have NCAA Basketball working and/or playing experience.
– Must have 4 year college degree
– Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
– Must be able to interact and communicate with all individuals at all levels of the organization
– Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint)
– Must work well in work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and time sensitive demands.
