OFFICIAL: Bryn Athyn College Names Potash Associate Head Coach

HoopDirt.com first mentioned this move as a rumor back on 8/11 (http://hoopdirt.com/daily-dirt-81115/).  It has now been made official that Chris Potash has joined the Bryn Athyn College men’s basketball staff as the associate head coach following five seasons as the head men’s basketball coach at fellow NEAC member Penn State Abington.

In 2015 Abington advanced to a 2nd straight NEAC Final Four after earning a 3rd consecutive playoff appearance.  Potash led the program to its 1st and only ECAC bid in 2014 and three of his teams led the NEAC in scoring offense.

A prep coach of the year in 2005 & 2003 as the head boys’ basketball coach at the Peddie School, Potash led his 2004-05 team to the Mid-Atlantic Prep League final and New Jersey prep state championship game.

Coach Potash also served as a head coach at the IBL Pre-Draft Camp, in the Rutgers University College Summer League, for the first victories at Robbinsville High School and in the Jersey Shore Warriors AAU program.

He was an assistant coach at the University of the Sciences (NCAA DII), Drew University (NCAA DIII), for the York Cyclones (EBA) and for Princeton Day School’s 1999 New Jersey prep state champions.

In addition to  coaching , Potash has extensive camp, event management, operations , site supervision and teaching experience working with Elevate Hoops, the Under Armour Association, Reebok, Eastern Invitational,

Pocono Invitational, Princeton University, Rutgers University, the University of Pennsylvania and others.

Potash earned a master’s degree from The College of New Jersey and is a York College of Pennsylvania graduate.

Coach Potash played basketball at York College, Mercer County Community College and Notre Dame High School.
