Rafi Goldman Named Graduate Assistant Basketball Coach at Tulane

Rafi Goldman has been named graduate assistant on Mike Dunleavy’s staff at Tulane. Goldman will be responsible for coordinating recruiting operations, scheduling and campus outreach, as well as facilitating limited on-court activities. He will also assist with video/scout preparations and the handling of the team’s social media accounts.

Goldman arrived at Tulane from Nevada, where he served as the video coordinator for the 2014-15 season. He was part of a first-year staff at Nevada that won 24 games and the CBI Championship after taking over a nine-win team. While at Nevada, Goldman oversaw all of the team’s video operations, opponent/self scouting, assisted in assembling analytics reports and assembled on-campus recruiting presentations. He also administered the team’s social media accounts.

Prior to Nevada, Goldman was at Vanderbilt where he spent three-and-a-half years as a student manager—the last two as head manager—for the Commodores. He served as the Assistant Director of Basketball Operations in his final semester, and was with the team when it claimed the 2012 Southeastern Conference Championship. During his time with the Commodores Goldman organized daily team operations, edited video, assisted with scout preparations/film exchange and facilitated on-campus recruiting visits. He maintained the recruiting data base for Vanderbilt.

Goldman has worked various basketball camps that include Reebok, Under Armour, Hoop Group, Elevate Hoops, and Boston College.

Goldman graduated in three-and-a-half-years from Vanderbilt earning a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science in 2014. He was named to the Dean’s List on four occasions.
