Dunphy Notches 200th Win at Temple

Josh Brown hit the game-winning jumper at #23/24 UConn with two seconds remaining to give Temple a 55-53 win, its second over a ranked team this season and the 200th victory of head coach Fran Dunphy’s career with the Owls.

Dunphy is now one of just five Division I coaches to record 200 or more wins at two different schools. He won 310 games as the head coach at Penn from 1989-2006.   The other 200/200 coaches are:  Lou Henson (New Mexico, Illinois), Rick Pitino (Kentucky, Louisville), Eddie Sutton (Arkansas, Oklahoma State) and Roy Williams (Kansas, North Carolina).   Dunphy recorded his 500th career win in last season’s American Athletic Conference Tournament.
