According to a TWEET by Jon Rothstein, Murray State head coach Matt McMahon is expected to take over at LSU. McMahon would replace Will Wade who was fired a few weeks ago.
McMahon took over at Murray State back in 2015 after spending four seasons with the Racers as an assistant. During his seven seasons at the helm, McMahon went 154–67 (.697), including a 31-3 (18-0 OVC) record this year. For his efforts this season, he was named as the OVC Coach of the Year. McMahon’s teams have won four OVC regular season championships, and three OVC tournament championships.
More on this one when it becomes official.
