According to a Jeff Goodman tweet, Notre Dame has reached an agreement with Penn State’s Micah Shrewsberry to be the next head coach of the Irish.
Shrewsberry just wrapped up his second year with Nittany Lions, where he went 37–31 (.544). This past season, he led his team to a 23-14 (10-10 Big Ten) record, and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Prior to his time in Happy Valley, Shrewsberry worked as an assistant to Brad Stevens with the Celtics and had two stints as an assistant at Purdue. He also worked for Stevens as an assistant at Butler.
More on this when it becomes official.
