According to a report from the Austin American-Statesman, Rodney Terry will have the interim tag removed, and ink a 5-year, $15.3 million dollar deal to become the next head basketball at Texas.
Terry, who took over after Chris Beard was suspended in December (and later fired in January), led the Longhorns to a 22-8 record and an Elite Eight appearance. Terry has also been the head coach at UTEP and Fresno State, and holds a career record of 185-164 (.530).
More on this move once it becomes official.
