The Assistant Coaches are responsible for providing leadership and direction in pursuit of championships and supporting student-athletes in their academic endeavors. Assistant Coaches develop and implement team strategies for their assigned specialty areas and provide one on one and small-group instruction. They are also responsible for identifying and maintaining schools and players of interest for recruiting; for planning and scheduling community service activities for the team; for assisting with program administration in the areas of travel, equipment, budget, and compliance; and for utilizing film and video to consistently improve the players and the team.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and or experience.
• Skills or competencies related to the sport obtained through previous playing and/or coaching experience.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and leadership abilities.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in the instruction and coaching of student-athletes in individual skill instruction and small group sessions.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills;
• Demonstrated ability to lead small and large group discussions;
• Strong proficiency in a variety of software applications (Microsoft Office including Word and Outlook), and the ability to utilize the latest advances in technology.
