• Act us back-up to the Head Coach when needed.
• Attend events throughout the Spring and Summer to identify prospects for SU MBB representing the MBB program, River Hawk athletics, and Susquehanna University in a positive and professional manner
• Recruiting quality student-athletes in concert with the mission of the University both off and on campus utilizing Just Play Solutions, Synergy, and Front Rush database platforms.
• Assist with on campus visits including leading tours; meet with prospective student athletes and parents.
• Assisting in planning and conducting practices; scouting opponents and developing game strategies; mentoring and counseling student-athletes. developing and maintaining positive team culture and chemistry.
• Be a position coach for our post players, doing daily individual work with them outside of practice using skill work and video work.
• Assist in fundraising and community service activities.
• Coordinate the spring youth tournament and the fall fund raising campaign, including ticket sales, etc.
• Be responsible with in game coaching; supervise student managers and work with equipment manager to address any issues.
• Monitor all first-year players’ academic progress; Meet w first year students and help plan out their calendar for their first semester.
• Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Director of Athletics
