Brad Cooper has joined the Hamilton men’s basketball staff as an assistant coach. He was the head coach at Keystone College in La Plume, Pa., from 2013 to 2023 and an assistant coach at Keystone for the previous two seasons.

In 2022-23 Keystone finished 14-14 overall, including 8-6 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC), and advanced to the conference tournament final. The Giants had the CSAC player of the year and rookie of the year, the D3hoops.com Region 5 rookie of the year, and a National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) all-district team selection. Cooper coached two CSAC rookies of the year, two D3hoops.com regional rookies of the year, 13 all-conference team players and four D3hoops.com all-region team picks during his career at Keystone.

Cooper has also been the 17U boys’ coach for Scranton-based NEPA Elite AAU since 2022, and was an assistant coach at his alma mater — SUNY Fredonia — during the 2010-11 season. He graduated from Fredonia as one of the top 15 all-time leading scorers at the school with 1,077 career points and was a two-time member of the State University of New York Athletic Conference men’s basketball all-conference team. In 2008-09 Cooper helped lead the Blue Devils to an overall record of 18-10 and 10-6 in the conference. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sport management.

Cooper was a standout player at Monticello High School where he was the fifth all-time leading scorer and set the single-game scoring record with 43 points. He was selected the Sullivan County Democrat Player of the Year in 2006. Cooper is a member of the NABC.
