This position will be responsible to build a Varsity Reserve program in partnership with the Head Men’s Basketball Coach and Director of Athletics.

Work with the Head Men’s Basketball Coach to implement a vision for the Varsity Reserve Team Daily VR practice plans Innovative statistical analysis to measure development of VR players. Assisting in building a championship culture for the Basketball program

Creating/Coaching a full slate of college games in Florida for the VR team Facilitating regular VR practices for both seasons Scheduling full slate of VR games for Fall and Spring seasons. Creating game schedules for the VR team and assisting Varsity Team

Assisting Head Coach with the Varsity Team for games and practices. Practice and game planning execution

Managing budget and logistics for the VR team Tracking inventory and ordering of program equipment for the VR team

Full recruiting responsibility for VR roster and retention Recruitment of graduate assistant coaches who line up with our program core values Attracting and retaining student-athletes who line up with our rigorous academic standards

Lead player mentorship, will work with student-athletes and lead a mentorship program that will help our students take the next step in their maturity in all areas Work with the Head Coach and Athletic Director to achieve a culture of transparency, where failing forward is encouraged

Other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Qualifications

3+ years of coaching at club, high school, and/or college level
