The Assistant Men’s Basketball coach, assists with all phases of coaching an  intercollegiate team, including recruiting, scouting, game management,  promotions, and supporting our student athletes on and off the floor. A strong  work ethic and passion for college athletics is required.

Essential Job Responsibilities: 

• Recruit student-athletes according to Talladega College and NAIA
• Assists in preparing events and practices.
• Ability to use and operate synergy for scouting and film breakdown. • Carries out scouting assignments as outlined by the Head Coach
• Cooperates with other staff to ensure that the student-athlete is provided  with services to succeed academically and personally.
• Maintains good relationship with alumnus, parents, officials, volunteers,  and fans.
• Oversee the strength and conditioning programs of our student athletes in  and out of season within the head coaches’ guidelines.
• Performs other duties as requested by the Head Coach.
• Weekend work, irregular hours, travel, and physical demands are required  for this position.

Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Valid driver’s license is preferred.
• Proven coaching or playing experience in the assigned sport.
• Ability to recruit and retain student-athletes.
• Experience with Synergy is preferred.
