Head men’s basketball coach Chris Kraus announced the addition of Jared Czech to the Stonehill College coaching staff for the 2024-25 season ahead of the Skyhawk’s third campaign at the Division I level as members of the Northeast Conference.
Czech takes his coaching expertise across the country, joining Stonehill after spending the past four seasons as an assistant coach with the United States Air Force Academy men’s basketball program.
“I am thrilled to add Jared to our coaching staff,” said Coach Kraus. “He has been a part of great coaching staffs and worked under tremendous head coaches and those experiences will help our program as we move forward. Jared’s ability to recruit at Air Force in the Mountain West and previously in The Ivy League will allow him to hit the ground running with us at Stonehill. I have known Jared for several years and admired his work ethic and ability to build relationships and I can’t wait to get started!”
Czech helped lead the Falcons to 39 wins over the past four seasons including 14 wins in 2022-23, tied for the most wins by an Air Force team since the Falcons won 18 games in 2012. Two student-athletes earned Mountain West All-Conference honors under his guidance in Colorado.
Prior to his experience at the USAFA, Czech was an assistant coach at Columbia University under head coach Jim Engles, primarily responsible for the Lions’ recruiting and player development for four seasons. Czech was also the Director of Basketball Operations for Engles’ staff at NJIT in 2014-15.
Along with his coaching experience, Czech was named Director of Hoop Group Elite Camp, the world’s largest basketball instructional organization in 2015.
A 2013 graduate of Manhattanville College earning his bachelor’s degree in English, Czech entered the collegiate coaching ranks as a student assistant for the Valiants followed by a stint as a graduate assistant at the University of Denver.
