Description:
The Volunteer Men’s Basketball Coach is responsible for assisting in the organization and management of the Men’s Basketball program.  In addition, this position is responsible for assisting the coaching staff with basketball analytics and recruiting coordination of prospective student-athletes.
Essential Functions:  List the primary on-going responsibilities that are necessary to accomplish the purpose of the job.
  1. Assist in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes and retention of current student-athletes.
  2. Assist in the safety and well-being of team members and supervision of student-managers with whom they work.
  3. Primarily responsible for player development. Under supervision of the Head Coach, develop training methods to improve the overall skill development of players.
  4. Responsible for maintaining compliance with NCAA Division III, United East Conference, instructions from the Saint Elizabeth University Athletic Trainer, and Saint Elizabeth University rules and regulations, including the timely filing of any paperwork, reports and/or reimbursement requests.
  5. Provide guidance, supervision, and assistance to student-athletes on academic progress to maintain eligibility and progress towards their degree.
  6. Assist in maintaining all sports equipment assigned to the Men’s Basketball program
