The Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach is a part-time position in the Department of Athletics. The position reports to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach and Director of Athletics. The Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach is sensitive to the needs of a diverse student body and is committed to assisting the Department of Athletics in enhancing and supporting the student development experience consistent with the mission of the Sinsinawa Dominican Catholic liberal arts university.

JOB COMPONENTS / PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities as Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach include but are not limited to: 

1. Accept and fulfill other duties as assigned by the Head Men’s Basketball Coach and/or Director of Athletics 
2. Adhering to Dominican University, NCAA, NACC compliance rules and regulations;
3. Attend and participate in departmental, divisional, university, conference, and national meetings as assigned by the Director of Athletics
4. Maintain good relations with alums, officials, volunteers, and fans 
5. Positively promote Dominican University and its athletics programs on and off campus 
6. Support the leadership, direction, and supervision of the Director of Athletics 
7. Assist in coordinating mailings, calls, email exchanges, campus visits between coaches and prospective student athletes. 
8. Assist in recruiting to the roster range
9. Assist in monitoring student-athletes’ academic performance;
10. Assist with coordinating the purchase, distribution, collection and inventory of team uniforms, equipment and supplies;
11. Assist with the coordination of respective team travel, transportation, and meals; 
12. Assist with the coordination of respective team fundraising
13. Assist with coordination of alumni outing/events within the Men’s Basketball Program
