Oglethorpe adds Oxman as Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach

Benji Oxman joined Oglethorpe’s athletic staff as assistant men’s basketball coach. Oxman’s responsibilities with the team include assisting with on-court instruction, recruiting, scouting, and player development.

Oxman brings six years of collegiate basketball experience to the staff. Oxman served two years as a Graduate Assistant  for Belmont University’s men’s basketball team (2022-2024). During his time at Belmont, Oxman helped the team achieve a 41-23 record in their first two seasons as a member of the Missouri Valley Conference. He head coached for the 17u Atlanta Timberwolves AAU organization for two seasons (2019-2021). As head coach, Oxman led his teams to a 57-26 record and helped 20 of his players get recruited nationally. Oxman worked three seasons as a manager for the University of South Carolina’s men’s basketball team (2018-2021). He also gained experience as a scout with Relentless Hoops (2021-2022).

Oxman earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina in 2022, as well as his Master of Sport Administration from Belmont University in 2024.
