Description:

The Assistant Coach for Academy of Central Florida Men’s Basketball serves as an assistant coach to men’s basketball National Team student-athletes in addition to the Regional and Prep men’s basketball teams. The primary functions of this position is assisting the Head Coach in basketball coaching and scouting.

 
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience

Basketball coaching experience or assistant experience at the Collegiate Level, National AAU Level, or the National High School Level. 2 year college degree is preferred.

Description

    • Assist in coaching players, leading basketball drills, scouting opponents and leading individual basketball workouts.
    • Assist in developing and leading basketball specific speed, quickness, and agility workouts.
    • Design year-round athletic enhancement programs for on court training drills with an emphasis on individual as well as team specific needs and report on progress.
    • Assist in planning for travel and team activities, planning away game travel, assisting in recruitment and marketability of players, and assisting in day-to-day operations of the program.
    • Knowledge of emergency procedures, including CPR and first aid.
    • Assist with marketing the Academy of Central Florida and the student athletes on social media
  • Live in the team house with the players
  • Other duties as assigned.
