Austin Cox, who previously served as Chief of Staff for UTEP men’s basketball, has been hired as the Director of Basketball Operations at Bradley.
Cox joined UTEP in 2022 after holding the same chief of staff role at Stephen F. Austin, where he was part of the Lumberjacks’ 2022 WAC regular-season championship. Prior to that, he spent nearly three years as an Elite Account Executive at Hudl-Sportscode, specializing in recruiting and data analytics.
He also brings administrative experience from his time at Southern Miss (2014–18) where he was the Chief of Staff for athletics. Cox began his career as head student manager at Texas Tech under Hall of Famer Tubby Smith.
Cox is the son of veteran college basketball coach and current UTEP associate head coach Jeremy Cox.
