Northeastern State is seeking a graduate assistant for the 2025-26 men’s basketball season. We’re looking for a highly motivated and self-driven individual that has a strong foundation in player development, problem solving skills, and a relentless work ethic. The graduate assistant will be involved in all aspects of the program – player development (individual & positional), scouting, recruiting, and operations.

Primary Responsibilities of this position will include but not limited to: assist & lead skill development workouts; assist with team practices; breakdown film; produce scouting reports on opposing personnel; help coordinate team travel & logistics; contribute to practice planning & execution; foster team culture through service, accountability, & mentorship; mentor & manage student managers; other duties as assigned by the coaching staff.

The Graduate Assistant position will include a tuition waiver, monthly stipend, and campus housing waiver.

– Bachelor’s Degree Required

-Accepted into an NSU Graduate Program & Maintain Good Academic Standing

-College Playing Experience/Coaching Experience Preferred; Desire to Pursue Coaching Career

-Strong Communication, Organizational, and Problem Solving Skills Required

-Ability to Work with & Lead Others

-Valid Driver’s License

-Software Proficiency in Microsoft Office

– Knowledge/Experience with Synergy, Photoshop, & PremierPro Preferred
