LSU’s Jeff Moore set to take over as Head Basketball Coach at Bossier Parrish CC

Jeff Moore, LSU basketball’s recruiting coordinator and a longtime assistant under Mike McConathy at Northwestern State, has been named the new head men’s basketball coach at Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC). He replaces J.A. Anglin, who recently departed after five seasons to become the head coach at NCAA Division III Centenary. Moore, 53, is already actively recruiting to rebuild the BPCC roster and brings extensive experience, including previous stints at Tyler JC, John Wood CC—where he led his team to a regional semifinal—and a season on the BPCC staff in 2005-06.

Moore spent 16 years on the staff at Northwestern State, helping guide the program to the 2013 NCAA Tournament and a CIT appearance in 2014. Most recently, the Lake Arthur, La. native, Moore—nicknamed “Cajun”, served as recruiting coordinator at LSU, where he helped sign three top-65 recruits for the 2024-25 class and contributed to a 2025 class ranked as high as No. 4 nationally.

An official announcement from BPCC is expected shortly.
