I can confirm that University of Saint Francis (IN) head basketball Chad LaCross will announce his retirement, with a statement scheduled to be released later this morning.
LaCross has been the head coach at USF for the past 15 season, where he has won over 300 games. He has also led the Cougars to four NAIA Final Four appearances, and three NAIA National Championship games.
LaCross is the all-time winningest coach in USF men’s basketball history and one of just 25 active NAIA coaches nationwide with more than 300 career victories. Among that group, he ranks ninth in winning percentage at 68.6%. He is also the fastest coach in program history to reach 50 wins (2011-12), 100 wins (2014-15), and 200 wins (2017-18), and remains the only USF coach to surpass the 300-win milestone.
A national search for a new head coach will begin immediately.
More on this move once it’s made official.
