Stamme named Head Basketball Coach at Clackamas CC

Brian Stamme has been named as the Head Coach for Clackamas Community College Men’s Basketball.  He becomes the fifth Head Coach in the program’s 57-year history.  

Coach Stamme joined staff at CCC in 2011 as an assistant and was promoted to Associate Head Coach in 2015.  During his time at Clackamas, Coach Stamme has assisted the Cougars to four league championships (2014, 2015, 2020 & 2023) and eleven NWAC tournament appearances, including a third place finish in 2023 and a number one ranking at the conclusion of the 2020 season.

Prior to joining Clackamas, he served as an Assistant Coach in the NWAC for six years at Lane Community College in Eugene, OR. In 2005-06, his first season, he was the Lead Team Manager and Director of Basketball Operations. Beginning Spring of 2006, he was promoted to an Assistant Coach and was left in charge of the program when the current Head Coach resigned in June. In August, Stamme was promoted to Associate Head Coach for the next five seasons. Stamme’s career at Lane CC was highlighted by three postseason appearances.

Stamme started his coaching career as the student assistant varsity coach at South Tahoe High School in 2003, followed by two years with the University of Oregon men’s basketball team as a manager from 2003 to 2005.

He and his wife, Morgaine, are both graduates of the University of Oregon. Stamme studied history, geography and basketball during his time as a Duck. He graduated in 2008 and began teaching physical education classes at Lane Community College in 2008 and the University of Oregon in 2009. In 2016, he earned his master’s degree in Coaching & Athletic Administration from Concordia Irvine University. Along with his coaching duties, Brian Stamme is an associate faculty member in the Health, Physical Education & Athletics Department at CCC, and assists with various athletic event management.
