According to a report from the Commercial Appeal, Memphis head basketball coach Penny Hardaway will add NBA veteran Roy Rogers to his staff.

Rogers, who played collegiately at Alabama, was a first round pick by the Vancouver Grizzlies in the 1996 NBA draft. He played in the league from 1996-2000 with stops in Vancouver, Boston, Toronto and Denver.

Rogers has been a fixture in NBA coaching circles since 2008, holding assistant roles with eight teams over his career. This will be his first stint in the college ranks.
