Indiana State head men’s basketball coach Matthew Graves is recovering following successful triple bypass surgery. Graves family released the following statement on social media earlier today:

Indiana State announced yesterday that Graves recently visited Union Hospital for an evaluation after experiencing tightness in his chest. Following a thorough examination, doctors determined that Matthew would need to undergo triple bypass surgery.
Associate Head Coach Mark Slessinger is serving as the Sycamores’ acting head coach in Graves’ absence.
