No secret here – this one has been out for the better part of a week. Providence has finally made it official though – here is their official statement on the “parting of ways” with head basketball coach Kim English:

Providence College announced today (March 13, 2026) that Kim English will not return as the head coach of the Friars’ men’s basketball program next season.

“We appreciate Kim and his staff for their efforts over the past three seasons leading our men’s basketball team,” Providence College Athletic Director Steve Napolillo said. “We wish him and his family all the best in the future.”

English coached three seasons at Providence, compiling an overall record of 48-52 and a 23-37 mark in BIG EAST Conference play.

Providence College will begin a national search for its next men’s basketball head coach immediately.
