A few more things that I’ve heard since the first DD earlier this am…
It sounds like the search at D2 Colorado Mesa is down to the final four. Names that I’ve heard here include Colorado State assistant Ken Deweese, Northern Colorado assistant head coach Houston Reed, Kirkwood CC head coach Tim sandquist, and current CMU assistant Skylar Burgess. Not sure on a time line here, but sounds like it could be wrapping up soon.
I can now confirm that Cal State Northridge DBO Mykel Morse will take over at West Valley College. Morse has spent the past two seasons at CSUN, and was an assistant at West Valley before that. He will most likely have the title of “interim” head coach for now. An official announcement is expected shortly.
I mentioned earlier that Parker has the search at Colby. Early names that I’ve heard here (besides former Dartmouth head coach David McLaughlin) include: Army associate head coach Jarren Dyson, Hampden-Sydney associate head coach Bryson Gibson, and a current head coach in the Liberty League. More on this one as I hear it.

I have heard that Loyola (MD) assistant Matt Blue is on the move and will join Nevada Smith’s new staff at Siena. Blue has been at Loyola for the past two seasons, and spent 8 years prior to that working for the NBA with their development programs in Asia and Australia. He has also been an assistant at Lafayette and Hartford.
Noah Breitenstein has been hired as an assistant at Houston Christian. He spent last season as an assistant at D2 New Mexico Highlands and has also spent time in administrative roles at New Mexico State and Coastal Carolina.
Some quick small college search updates:
NAIA Marian sounds like it’s done. Sounds like they’re hiring a current NAIA head coach. Stay tuned. *UPDATE: Marian will hire Bethel (IN) head coach Steve Drabyn more here -> NAIA DIRT
D2 Montana Western is wrapping up interviews. Sounds like an announcement here will be made by no later than Friday.
