Brian Burns is no longer the head basketball coach at NJCAA D1 Triton College (IL).
Burns took over as the head coach back in 2023 following a five year run as an assistant at the school.
In his first season at Triton, Burns led the Trojans to a 34-3 record and finished as the runner-up at the 2024 NJCAA Division I National Tournament. This past season, Burns squad went 18-13.
Triton Assistant Coach Taylor Lavery will serve as the interim head coach while the search gets underway. Lavery joined the Trojans staff prior to last season, and has also been an assistant at Howard College (TX), North Central Missouri and Central Wyoming.
