Stanford Athletics is currently accepting applications for the position of Director of Player Personnel. Reporting to the James C. Gaither Associate Head Men’s Basketball Coach, this position supports the overall operations and strategic initiatives of the Stanford Men’s Basketball program. The Director of Player Personnel plays a key role in program management, contributing to areas such as analytics, scouting coordination, recruiting operations, and player development. The role requires a proactive, organized professional who can thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment while upholding Stanford Athletics’ commitment to excellence on and off the court. This role is onsite with a fixed-term end date of no later than April 30, 2027.

  • Your responsibilities include:
  • Analytics & Performance Tracking:
    • Collect, maintain, and analyze team and individual performance data.
    • Develop and manage statistical databases to support coaching and player development decisions.
  • Scouting Coordination:
    • Assist in coordinating opponent and advanced scouting assignments.
    • Support coaches with film analysis and scouting reports.
  • Video Operations:
    • Contribute to video operations, including film breakdown, video exchange, and coordination with coaching and support staff.
    • Ensure efficient access and organization of video and statistical resources.
  • Recruiting Operations:
    • Support recruiting activities by preparing digital presentations, campus visit itineraries, and recruiting materials.
    • Maintain recruiting databases and assist with communication logistics.
  • Program Operations & Planning:
    • Assist with daily practice planning, scheduling, and logistical support for team activities.
    • Help manage and develop undergraduate managers, fostering a strong support team culture.
    • Organize and execute summer basketball camps, including individual, elite, and team sessions.
  • Special Projects:
    • Partner with coaches and staff on strategic initiatives, performance studies, and program development efforts.

 

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Must have a minimum of three years of related experience.
