•   At University of Portland, a Graduate Assistant for Men’s Basketball assists with many duties of supporting and directing a Division 1 basketball team. Duties include on court development, assisting coaching staff with scouting opponents, in game support, opportunities for video work, and supporting student athletes on and off the floor.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Set up for practice and on court workouts daily.
• Record Practice from Video Nest
• Player Development and individual workouts with players.
• Reports directly to head coach and assistant coaches.
• Work alongside staff to ensure players and coaches have what they need to be successful daily.
• Maintains good relationship with alumnus, parents, officials, volunteers, and fans.
• Performs other duties as requested by the Head Coach.
• Weekend work, irregular hours, travel, and physical demands are required for this position.
• Capable Scout Team Player

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a small college setting and the ability to balance all student-athlete needs.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Drive (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with Sportscode + Synergy is preferred
• High school and college playing experience preferred
