Following up on my tweet from earlier today…
I have now heard from multiple sources that Tim Loomis stepped away today as the head men’s basketball coach at D3 Thiel College.
Loomis had spent the past 20 seasons as the Tomcats head coach, and has spent 32 overall seasons as a head coach. Prior to his time at Thiel, he was the head coach at Florida Atlantic (1989-1995) and California (PA) (1980-86). He also spent time as an assistant at Penn State.
