The University of Dallas, located in the heart of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex in Irving TX, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Graduate Assistant for Men’s Basketball.  The University of Dallas is a Catholic liberal arts university know for its elite academics.

The position will report to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach and is renewable for two consecutive years.  The second year appointment is contingent upon successful completion of duties and good academic standing at the university.  

Responsibilities:

– Assist with all aspects of recruiting including: scouting, communication, and planning visits.

– Assist with planning and implementing of practices, opponent scouting, video analysis, strength and conditioning, equipment, and academic monitoring.

– Manage team social media accounts.

-Other duties and responsibilities as assigned within the athletic department including, but not limited to, some game management duties of other sports as needed.

Qualifications:

– Acceptance into a graduate program at the University of Dallas.

– Candidates must have a working knowledge of NCAA Division III/SCAC rules and compliance.

– Valid driver’s license and must pass criminal background check.

– Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

– Prior college coaching, playing, or manager experience preferred.

Compensation:

– The position will receive a full tuition waiver and a $2500 stipend after the season.
