The University of West Alabama is seeking qualified applicants for a Men’s Basketball Graduate Assistant. This position is an entry level position and will be involved in all aspects of the program, including but not limited to: assisting with all individual workouts and player development; monitoring all areas of academic success including study hall and conducting class checks; promoting the mission of the institution; managing the inventory of equipment; assisting with the management of team social media accounts; overseeing student-managers and their duties; setting up and breaking court and film for practice and games; initiating travel plans including pre-game and post-game meal coordination; assisting with recruiting and on campus visits; and all other duties assigned by the head coach and athletic director.   

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree; admittance into a graduate program; the ability to work a flexible and irregular schedule.

Preferred: Prior college basketball experience as either a player, coach or manager; Valid driver’s license; Strong organizational skills; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Computer literacy; Video and Graphics skills.

This position includes tuition/books and a monthly stipend.
