Wagner adds Goode as Assistant Basketball Coach

Wagner men’s basketball head coach Dwan McMillan has announced the hiring of Ty Goode as an assistant coach ahead of the 2026–27 season.

Goode arrives on Grymes Hill after spending the 2025–26 season as an assistant coach at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). Prior to that, he spent three seasons on staff at Fordham University, serving as Recruiting/Video Coordinator during the 2024–25 season after working as Assistant Recruiting Coordinator from 2022–24. During his time in the Bronx, Goode worked alongside McMillan for two seasons (2022–24) on the Rams’ staff.

Before his time at Fordham, Goode spent nine seasons (2014–22) as a varsity assistant coach at Saint Peter’s Prep in Jersey City, New Jersey. In that role, he assisted with recruiting efforts, student-athlete evaluation, individual skill development, team concept instruction, and the preparation and implementation of game strategies.

A native of Brooklyn, New York, Goode graduated from Fairfield University in 2005 with a degree in Business Administration in Information Systems. A four-year starter and two-year captain for the Stags, Goode was named the 2004 MAAC Defensive Player of the Year.

Goode was also a three-year member and two-year starter at William E. Grady High School in Brooklyn, where he helped guide the program to a New York City PSAL Championship while earning First Team All-City honors.
