Timajh Parker-Rivera returns to Towson as the assistant coach/director of basketball operations after a four-year playing career with the Tigers that saw him graduate as the winningest player in Towson basketball history. Parker-Rivera still owns the single season games played and games started record at 36 in 2013-2014. Parker-Rivera is second all-time in games played at 131, fourth all-time in career field goal percentage at .577, sixth in games started at 100, seventh all-time in blocked shots at 127, 10th all-time in career rebounds at 683 and minutes played at 3,103.
“I’m excited to bring back Timajh to our program. He was a key piece of our first full recruiting class here and an integral part of our NCAA record setting turnaround team,” Towson men’s basketball head coach Pat Skerry said. “He was a successful student-athlete here at Towson and an outstanding teammate during his time here. It’s been a privilege to follow his professional playing career and he has certainly benefited by being a part of Arkansas staff the last two seasons under the tutelage of Hall of Fame Coach John Calipari. I know Timajh and his family are excited to get back to Towson and his clear understanding of what it takes to be a successful student-athlete in our program is something I’m excited for him to share with our team.”
Parker-Rivera was a key contributor during his Towson playing career. He led the team in field goal percentage in 2013-14, steals in 2014-15, blocked shots in 2013-14 and 2014-15 and minutes played in 2014-15. His freshman year was the season Towson had the biggest single season turnaround in the NCAA, improving 17.5 games, while his senior year saw him punctuate his career with All-CAA Defensive Team Honors and All-Academic Team. He was a two-time team captain.
“Sometimes God brings you back to where it all started, not to relive the past, but to show you how far you’ve come and how much more there is to build,” Parker-Rivera said. “Once a Tiger, always a Tiger. I’m blessed to return home to the place that helped shape me – Returning home to Towson.”
Parker-Rivera most recently served as a graduate assistant at Arkansas for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons. The Razorbacks made it to the Sweet 16 in both campaigns including as a 10-seed in 2024-25. While with Arkansas, Parker-Rivera developed scouting reports and game strategy while also supporting practice planning and game preparation.
After graduating from Towson with a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management, Parker-Rivera went on the play professionally for nine years overseas in Germany, Portugal, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Panama, Burundi and as a member of the Puerto Rican national team. He graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Master’s in Adult and Lifelong Learning.
