Simon Jacob is no longer the head men’s basketball coach and AD at NAIA Oakwood University (AL). There has not been an official announcement, but Jacob has been removed from the school’s directory, and his bio had been 404’d from the website.

Jacob had been the head coach at Oakwood for the past ten seasons where he oversaw their transition from the USCAA to the NAIA. Prior to becoming NAIA members in 2022, Jacob led the Ambassadors to USCAA National Championships in 2016 and 2019. This past season, Oakwood went 13-18 (5-7 HBCUAC).

No word yet on whether the new basketball coach will have AD duties as well. More on that once the job is posted.
