Description:

Milwaukee Men’s Basketball is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate individual for the  position of Volunteer Basketball Operations & Video Coordinator. This unpaid, volunteer position offers an  elite, hands-on learning experience at the NCAA Division I level. The successful candidate will work directly  with the coaching staff, operations personnel, and student-athletes, gaining invaluable exposure to the inner  workings of a collegiate basketball program. 

Key Responsibilities 

  1. Operations & Team Logistics 
  • Team Travel: Assist the Director of Basketball Operations with the coordination of team travel logistics,  including meals, hotel accommodations, and bus/flight schedules. 
  • Facility & Equipment Management: Help coordinate gym availability, and ensure court setups (balls,  clocks, filming equipment) are prepared ahead of all team activities. 
  • Camps & Clinics: Assist in the planning, marketing, and day-to-day execution of the program’s  summer camps and coaches’ clinics. 
  1. Video Operations & Analytics 
  • Film Breakdown: Assist the Video Coordinator in filming and cutting practice and game film Scouting Reports: Compile statistical data and video clips to assist coaching staff in preparing  comprehensive opponent scouting reports. 
  • Library Management: Maintain and organize the program’s digital film library. 
  1. Recruiting Support & Administrative Duties 
  • Official/Unofficial Visits: Assist with the logistical coordination and scheduling of on-campus recruiting  visits. 
  • General Administration: Perform daily office tasks, data entry, and other administrative duties as  assigned by the Head Coach or DOBO. 

Qualifications & Requirements 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree completed or currently in progress. 
  • Experience: Prior experience as a collegiate student manager, high school/AAU coach, or playing  experience at the collegiate level is highly preferred. 
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with video editing software (Synergy, iMovie/Adobe Premiere) and  Microsoft Office / Google Suite is a major plus. 
  • Compliance: Must possess an understanding of, and strict adherence to, all NCAA and institutional  rules and regulations regarding volunteer staff limitations. 
  • Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work non-traditional hours, including early mornings, late nights,  weekends, and holidays, aligning with the rigorous Division I basketball calendar. 
  • Soft Skills: High emotional intelligence, exceptional work ethic, ability to handle high-stress  environments, and absolute discretion regarding confidential team matters.
