D2 Edinboro Opens; Jennings departs for D1 Assistant Position

After taking the Edinboro men’s basketball team to back-to-back PSAC postseason appearances head coach Jusin Jennings is stepping down to pursue another opportunity. His new landing spot sounds like it will be on the staff at Illinois State.

Jennings posted a 35-49 overall record and was 28-28 in the past two seasons. In the 2024-25 season Jennings presided over an eight-win improvement that saw the Scots finish third in the PSAC West and earned Jennings PSAC West Coach of the Year honors.

In his time with the Scots, Jennings coached five all-conference players, one PSAC West Defensive Player of the Year and one PSAC West Freshman of the Year.

“We are incredibly thankful to Coach Jennings for all his contributions to Edinboro men’s basketball,” said Director of Athletics Dr. Katherine Robbins. “In three seasons, Coach Jennings changed the trajectory of Fighting Scot Men’s Basketball and has the program pointed in the right direction and poised for success going forward. We wish Justin the best in all his future endeavors.”
