NAIA DIRT: MidAmerica Nazarene set to open; Hepker taking D1 assistant spot

Story: Adam Nelson (@HD_DirtKing)

I have heard from multiple sources that Adam Hepker is departing as the head men’s basketball coach at MidAmerica Nazarene University and will be making the jump to the NCAA Division I level as an assistant coach. It sounds like he informed his team of this move last night.

Hepker took over the MNU program back in 2022 after previously serving as an assistant with the Pioneers. The MNU alum was a standout during his playing days, helping lead the program to the 2007 NAIA National Championship, and later returned to his alma mater following coaching stops at Grand View and Ottawa University Arizona.

More on his landing spot when it becomes official.
