Le Moyne College Wright, III ’85 and Cathy Lassiter Endowed Head Men’s Basketball Coach Nate Champion ’14 announced on the addition of Colin Daly as an assistant coach. Daly replaces Benny Marello, who departed following four years on staff to pursue another coaching opportunity.
Daly comes to Le Moyne following three years at North Carolina A&T University as Assistant Coach, Director of Basketball Operations (DOBO) and video coordinator. He was responsible for travel coordinating, meal planning, practice scheduling, planning recruiting visits, and exchanging film. The Aggies recorded 25 wins in his three years on staff, including 11 during the 2025-26 campaign, while posting 12 victories in CAA action.
“Colin is a young coach who has a very bright future in our industry,” said Champion. “Playing at both the Division II and Division I levels, he possesses great playing experience combined with a tremendous mind for the game we are very fortunate on staff.”

Daly was hired at A&T after serving as a graduate manager with the men’s basketball program at Temple University for the 2022-23 season following the completion of his playing career.
He spent his final two seasons as a student-athlete at Temple (2020-22). He was named to the NABC Honors Court for academic excellence in each of his two seasons. After sitting out the 2020-21 campaign, he appeared in five games in his final season. In the regular season finale, a 75-47 win over South Florida, he tallied a season-high seven points.
Daly spent his first three collegiate seasons at Division II West Chester, serving as a team captain for one season. He played 71 games for the Golden Rams, scoring 371 points, grabbing 113 rebounds and dishing out 58 assists. He made 40.5 percent of his field goals (100-for-247) and 36.3 percent of his 3-point attempts (70-for-193). He also made 86.1 percent of his free throws (37-for-43).
Daly earned his bachelor’s degree from Temple in business management from the Fox School of Business.
