| Description: | Florida Coastal Prep in Fort Walton Beach, FL is accepting applications for the position of Basketball Coach and Resident Advisor.
This position works directly with our high school and post-grad teams. It is built to develop coaches who want a career in the basketball industry. Coaches at FCP are asked to solve problems, mentor young men, lead, plan, and keep a flexible schedule. You will leave with real coaching and operations experience.
Primary duties will include:
Housing supervision and dorm life
Filming and video breakdown
On court instruction
Individual skill development
Statistics and scouting reports
Assisting head coaches with practices and games
Equipment management
Transportation
Daily basketball operations
Study hall and academic check-ins
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year accredited college or university preferred, not required
Previous experience working in college or high school athletics
Must be able to work evenings and weekends and maintain a flexible schedule
Must pass a background check and be comfortable working with student-athletes in a residential setting
Preferred Qualifications:
Former college basketball player, manager, or coach at any level
Previous coaching experience
Desire to build a career in college or high school athletics
Experience with video breakdown software such as Hudl or Synergy
Experience working with international student-athletes
Compensation:
Stipend commensurate with experience
Housing
Meals
Coaches must have a personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
