Adams State Men’s Basketball head coach Kenny Tripp is excited to announce the promotion of Isaiah Sampson to assistant coach ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Sampson has been promoted to assistant coach after serving as graduate assistant coach for the past two seasons. He has been instrumental in player development and daily program operations. Prior to his time as graduate assistant, Sampson was an All-RMAC forward for the Grizzlies, averaging 10.5 points and 5.2 rebounds per game his senior year.
“Isaiah has earned this position as a relentless contributor to the success of our program. He takes pride in this place, has built a unique relationship with our student-athletes, and earned tremendous respect throughout our campus. Adams State men’s basketball is a better program because of the impact that Isaiah has had, and we look forward to more good days ahead.”
As an assistant coach, Sampson will take on increased responsibilities in recruiting, game preparation, practice planning, social media, and travel. His leadership and enthusiasm will play an important role as the Grizzlies prepare for the upcoming season.
