Assistant Director of Basketball Operations & Academy Coach – Arruda’s Basketball Club

School: Arruda's Basketball Club
Position: Assistant Director of Basketball Operations & Academy Coach
Salary: Part-Time with Full-Time Opportunity (Career Accelerator)
Description:

Arruda’s Basketball Club (ABC) is seeking a highly motivated, ambitious coach looking to build a long-term career in college basketball, professional basketball, or sports leadership.

This position is intentionally designed to accelerate the development of future basketball leaders.

The founder of ABC, Josh Arruda, followed this exact path—beginning in youth basketball before progressing to NCAA Division III, NCAA Division I, and ultimately becoming a collegiate coach while simultaneously building one of the fastest-growing youth basketball organizations in the region.

If your goal is to simply coach basketball, this position probably is not for you.

If your goal is to become a college coach, Director of Basketball Operations, athletic administrator, entrepreneur, or leader within the basketball industry, we believe there are very few opportunities that provide this level of hands-on experience.

The successful candidate will receive meaningful responsibility across every area of operating a basketball organization.

Primary Responsibilities

Basketball Coaching

  • Serve as a Head Coach and/or Assistant Coach for travel basketball teams.
  • Coach teams throughout the Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons.
  • Lead practices focused on player development and team culture.
  • Coach camps, clinics, and academy training sessions.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with players and families.

Applicants must genuinely enjoy coaching all levels of players—including young athletes who are new to the game or simply play basketball for fun. Great coaches can inspire both elite players and beginners.

  • Assist in day-to-day operations of the organization.
  • Help organize leagues, tournaments, camps, and events.
