I can confirm through multiple sources that D3 Clark University intends to hire University of Chicago assistant Mike Mailhot as it’s next head basketball coach.
Mailhot has been at Chicago for the past seven seasons. He has also served as an assistant at D3’s Muhlenberg and Nichols, and played Collegiately at Emmanuel (MA).
Mailhot will replace Tyler Simms, who became an assistant at Bucknell back in early June after seven seasons as the head coach at Clark.
An official announcement is expected as early as today.
