The Clement and Elizabeth Izzi Family Head Men’s Basketball Coach, Luke Murray, has officially announced the additions of Jared Jordan, Andre Berry, Gilvydas Biruta, Chris Mastrangelo, and Charlie Weisberg to the program’s staff.
Jordan will join the Eagles as the director of player development, with Berry and Biruta serving as player development assistants. Mastrangelo enters the role of director of basketball administration and Weisberg joins the staff as a graduate assistant.
JARED JORDAN – DIRECTOR OF PLAYER DEVELOPMENT
Jared Jordan is in his first year as director of player development at Boston College and joins the staff with a wealth of playing experience both in both the college and professional ranks.
Jordan’s thirteen year professional playing career overseas included stops in Germany, Greece, Romania and Spain. During his time in Germany, Jordan led the Bundesliga in assists three times (2016, 2017 and 2018) and finished his career as the all-time assists leader.
Prior to his professional career, Jordan had a distinguished collegiate playing career at Marist highlighted by his 2007 recognition as an AP Honorable Mention All-American. A standout floor general, he led the NCAA in assists for two consecutive seasons in 2006 and 2007 and was honored with the Haggerty Award during his senior year before being selected by the Los Angeles Clippers as the 45th overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft.
Jordan is a native of Hartford, CT and received a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Marist in 2007.

ANDRE BERRY – PLAYER DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT
Andre Berry is in his first season as a player development assistant at Boston College. Berry previously spent four seasons at Connecticut serving most recently as a player development assistant. Berry was on the support staff for both the 2023 and 2024 national championship teams.
Before beginning his coaching career, Berry played at Rhode Island from 2015-18, helping the Rams make back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances. During his time in Kingston, Rhode Island captured the 2017 Atlantic 10 Tournament championship and the 2018 A-10 regular-season title. Berry also played professionally overseas for four seasons, competing in Spain, Finland and Ireland.
Berry is a native of West Hempstead, N.Y. and graduated from Rhode Island in 2018 with a degree in communications and later earned a masters in sports management from UConn in 2024.

GILVYDAS BIRUTA – PLAYER DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT
Gilvydas Biruta enters his first season at Boston College as a Player Development Assistant. Biruta joins the Heights following one season as a Video Coordinator/Player Development Coach for the NBA G League’s Windy City Bulls.
Biruta previously spent the 2024-25 NBA G League season as an assistant coach for the Grand Rapids Gold, affiliate to the Denver Nuggets. Prior to joining the NBA G League coaching ranks, Biruta spent one season on the Rhode Island staff as a graduate assistant during the 2023-24 season.
After the conclusion of his collegiate career, Biruta spent the summer of 2015 with the Denver Nuggets Summer League team. He also played professionally in Europe from 2015-2023. He began his career with 2015–2016 Neptunas Klaipeda (2015-16), and also had stints with Lavrio (2016), Aries Trikala (2016-17), Assigeco Piacenza (2017), JL Bourg (2017-18), Cherkaski Mavpy (2019), Lietkabelis Panevežys (2020), Heroes Den Bosch (2020), CBet Prienai (2020-21) and CEP Lorient (2021-23).
A 1,200-point scorer during his collegiate career with Rutgers and Rhode Island, Biruta played two seasons at Rutgers, later transferring to URI in 2013 for two seasons playing under Dan Hurley.
Biruta also has international experience as part of the Lithuanian National Team program, helping the U-16 team win a bronze medal at the 2007 FIBA Europe U-16 Championship. He also had two runs with the U-18 National Team, winning silver at the 2008 FIBA Europe U-18 Championship.
A native of Jonava, Lithuania, Biruta earned a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Writing from the University of Rhode Island in 2015.

CHRIS MASTRANGELO – DIRECTOR OF BASKETBALL ADMINISTRATION
Chris Mastrangelo is in his first year as Director of Basketball Administration. Mastrangelo joined Boston College after one season as Director of Basketball Operations at St. Peter’s
During his time with the Huskies, Mastrangelo contributed to one of the most successful stretches in program history, helping UConn capture back-to-back NCAA National Championships in 2023 and 2024, along with two regional championships and the 2024 Big East regular season and tournament titles.
Spending seven years with the University of Connecticut men’s basketball program under head coach Dan Hurley, Mastrangelo began his career as a student manager from 2018-21, coinciding with Hurley’s first years leading the Huskies, before serving as a graduate assistant from 2021-23. He was then promoted to Assistant Director of Basketball Operations from 2023-25, where he played a key role in the day-to-day management of the program.
Highly proficient in managing basketball operations, Mastrangelo brings experience coordinating team logistics, curating and analyzing video for player development and scouting and supporting coaches and student-athletes in high-pressure situations. His leadership, organizational skills and commitment to excellence have been instrumental in preparing teams for success at the highest levels of college basketball.
Mastrangelo is a two-time graduate of the University of Connecticut, earning his Bachelor of Science in sports management in 2021 and his Master of Science in sports management in 2023.

CHARLIE WEISBERG – GRADUATE ASSISTANT
Charlie Weisberg enters his first season as a Graduate Assistant at Boston College.
Weisberg began his career on Chestnut Hill fresh off completing his collegiate playing career at Skidmore College from 2024-26. During this time, Weisberg made 34 appearances, averaging 4.4 points across 11.6 minutes per game.
Prior to Skidmore, Weisberg played two seasons at Loyola Maryland (2021-22, 2023-24) and made five appearances for the Greyhounds.
A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., Weisberg graduated in 2026 from Skidmore College with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management.
