Sean Mizzoni has joined the Gettysburg men’s basketball staff as an assistant coach, announced by head coach Matt Hunter.
Mizzoni joins the Bullet staff after spending last season as an assistant coach at Jenkintown High School.
In addition to coaching at his high school alma mater last season, he was also the head coach for the boys 15U Next Play Basketball AAU team in Chestnut Hill. He was also spent this past summer as a coach in the Matt Paul Basketball Oreland Summer League, coaching and instructing youth.
Mizzoni was a four-year member of the Widener men’s basketball team. He was part of Pride teams that twice reached the MAC Commonwealth championship game. He was a freshman on the championship team that defeated top-seeded Alvernia on the road to claim Widener’s first conference crown since 2009 and earn the automatic bid into the NCAA tournament. Mizzoni was also on the 2023-24 team went 24-5 and reached as high as 13th in the D3hoops.com poll. Widener advanced to the MAC Commonwealth championship game and earned an at-large bid into the NCAA tournament, where the Pride hosted the opening weekend and fell in the second round to Christopher Newport.
A reserve on the Widener teams, the guard was a career .353 shooter.
Mizzoni graduated from Widener in 2025 with a bachelor of science in business administration.
