The University of Tulsa Men’s Basketball Program is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Graduate Assistant for Men’s Basketball to join our staff immediately. This position is designed for an aspiring basketball coach or athletics professional who is looking to gain valuable experience in a Division I basketball program while pursuing a graduate degree at The University of Tulsa.

Position Summary

The Graduate Assistant will assist the Men’s Basketball coaching staff in all aspects of the program’s daily operations, including practice preparation, player development, video analysis, scouting, academic support, and administrative duties. This individual will play a key role in supporting the success of our student-athletes on and off the court.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Must be accepted into a graduate degree program at The University of Tulsa.
• Collegiate playing experience required.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and team travel as needed.
• Interest in pursuing a career in coaching, athletics administration, or basketball operations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist with the organization and execution of daily practices.
• Conduct video breakdown and analysis of practices and games.
• Assist with opponent scouting and preparation of scouting reports.
• Support on-court player development workouts and skill instruction.
• Assist with recruiting operations, including database management, recruiting correspondence, and visit coordination.
• Provide administrative support for the basketball office and coaching staff.
• Assist with team travel logistics and other operational duties as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with all University, Conference, and NCAA rules and bylaws.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with basketball video editing and analytics software (Hudl Sportscode, Synergy, FastModel, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
