Herrion promoted to DBO at UNH

University of New Hampshire head men’s basketball coach Bill Herrion announced that Ryan Herrion has been promoted to Director of Basketball Operations effective immediately. Last season Ryan served as the Video Coordinator/ Player Development for the Wildcats.

Herrion, the son of Bill Herrion, enters his second season at his alma mater. For his new position, Ryan will handle a variety roles and will actively be involved in the daily operations of the men’s basketball program.

Ryan is responsible for office administrative duties, film exchange, community service programs and the coordination of the UNH summer basketball camp and golf outings. In addition, he will assist with team travel and logistics.

The younger Herrion will continue to be responsible for video production and breakdown for the team and will oversee the basketball team’s social media outlets.

Prior to returning to New Hampshire, Herrion worked on the men’s basketball staff at Marshall University (Huntington, W.V.) as a graduate assistant (2012-2013). Ryan’s uncle, Tom Herrion, was the head coach for the Thundering Herd.

He played four years as a Wildcat (2008-12) and named one of the captains on the squad during his senior campaign. Herrion was part of the winningest four-year class in school history.
