A familiar face will rejoin the VCU Men’s Basketball coaching staff. Head Coach Shaka Smart announced the addition of Jesse Bopp to the Rams, he will take over Director of Basketball Operations duties. Bopp served as a graduate manager during the 2009-10 campaign, Smart’s first season at VCU.

Bopp rejoins VCU after spending three seasons as the Head Basketball Coach and Assistant Dean of Students at Vermont Academy. During his three years, the Wildcats posted a 48-43 record, including three straight NEPSAC playoff appearances. He coached six All-New England selections and helped facilitate the development of numerous players that are currently playing at the collegiate level.
