Head coach Danny Kaspar has announced that Jim Shaw has been hired as the new Director of Men’s Basketball Operations. The hiring of Shaw completes Kaspar’s staff for the upcoming 2013-14 season.

Shaw begins his first season at Texas State after spending one year at Texas Tech in the same capacity. Prior to Texas Tech, Shaw spent six years as the video coordinator at the University of Nebraska.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Grinnell College, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Texas-El Paso.

Shaw joins previously hired assistant coaches Rob Flaska, Terrence Rencher, and Talvin Hester.
